Qualifications
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience in a restaurant is required (1 year of serving experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience)
Job duties
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Prepare food order summaries for chef
- Prepare and submit daily sales reports to the management
- Manage a restaurant casher register
- Establish work schedules
- Ensure food service and quality control
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Recruit, interview, and hire food service staff
- Manage schedules of food service staff
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Take inventory of beverages, and estimate and order beverages
- Supervise and manage food service operation
- Explain Japanese tapas, dishes, and beverages to customers
Other information
- Work experience in Japanese restaurants and having knowledge of Japanese tapas and dishes are asset.
