Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English and Japanese orally and in writing is required
- Completion of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years is required
- TICO Certification of Travel Counsellor is not mandatory but considered as an asset
- 1 years to less than 2 years of related work experience is required

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Make transportation and accommodation reservations (e.g. hotel, car rental, and Japan Rail Pass) using computerized reservation and ticketing system (e.g. Global Distribution System) and counsel them about travel plans in Japan;
- Assist clients/guests with special needs;
- Attend to cancellations and schedule changes;
- Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation and accommodation options and travel costs, and recommend suitable products;
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work of on-site travel counselling;
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager;
- Handle emergency situations




- Ensure smooth operation of computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System), equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work;
- Assist clients/guests to book domestic airplane tickets in Canada utilizing computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System) by closely communicating with Vancouver Office;
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager and/or Vancouver Office;
