Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
- Having a good command of Japanese is an asset
- Completion of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years is required
- TICO Certification of Travel Counsellor is not mandatory but considered as an asset
- 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience including at least 1 year experience of supervisory position is required


Primary job duties and responsibilities

- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies;
- Ensure smooth operation of computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System), equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work;
- Identify training needs of staff and report them to Senior Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager if necessary;



- Assist clients to book outbound tickets to Japan and other accommodations and transportation tickets (e.g. hotel, car rental, and Japan Rail Pass) utilizing computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System) and counsel them about travel plans in Japan;
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work of on-site travel counselling;
- Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities about on-site travel consultations;
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Senior Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager;
- Handle emergency situations



- Assist clients/guests to book domestic airplane tickets in Canada utilizing computer reservation systems (e.g. Global Distribution System);
- Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities about domestic ticket consultations by closely communicating with Vancouver Office;
- Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports to Senior Travel Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager and/or Vancouver Office;

Other Information
Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people
