Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
- Ability to communicate in Japanese orally and in writing is required
- Completion of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years is required
- TICO Certification of Travel Counsellor is not mandatory but considered as an asset
- 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience including at least 1 year experience of supervisory position is required
Primary job duties and responsibilities
Assist clients/guests with special needs by communicating with customers in Japanese;
Co-ordinate, assign and review work;
Ensure smooth operation of computer systems (e.g. Global Distribution System), equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work;
Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with Vancouver office as necessary;
Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports;
Identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies;
Handle emergency situations;
May perform same duties as Travel Consultant;
