Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing is required
- Ability to communicate in Japanese orally and in writing is required
- Completion of College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years is required
- TICO Certification of Travel Counsellor is required
- No related work experience is required
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation services for our clients (Japanese corporations based in Japan and/or Canada and individual travelers from Japan) regarding travel plans, products and insurance by communicating with them in Japanese;
- Calculate costs (transpiration, accommodation, admission etc.) and handle refunds and other financial transactions;
- Deal with customers’ cancellations and schedule changes;
- Act as a liaison between our customers and other service providers (airline company, hotel and tour guide service companies etc.);
- Make transportation and accommodation reservations using computerized reservation and ticketing system (e.g. Global Distribution System);
- Create itineraries and other travel documents in Japanese and provide travel information for our clients regarding destinations, transportation and accommodation options and travel costs, and recommend suitable package;
- Resolve work-related problems and handle customer complaints in Japanese and prepare and submit progress reports to the management;
