The Staff/Project Engineer will provide engineering and technical support for Operations, Marketing, and Special Projects, which may include:
* Developing and drafting engineering solutions
* Regulation review and interpretation
* Participating in incident investigations
* Vendor monitoring
* Technical report writing
This position will be based out of AKITA's Nisku, Alberta, Canada office.
* Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
* Three years experience in a heavy equipment environment preferred
* Physical ability to climb equipment and move about in tight spaces
* Training in Autocad Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor
* Effective verbal and written communication
* Knowledge of Drilling Operational Processes preferred
* Mechanical Equipment Design/Industrial Fabrication experience
* Knowledge of Welding/Welding Procedures
* Capable of temporarily working outdoors in all conditions
* Knowledge of QA Systems as applicable to Manufacturing/Oil & Gas
